About the role
We are a leading provider of site development and infrastructure services on mostly commercial projects across the Pacific Northwest. We are expanding and seeking skilled operators to join our field team.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and other equipment for trenching, backfilling, grading, and site prep
- Perform precise excavation around utilities and fuel tank areas
- Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes
- Ensure OSHA and environmental compliance during all phases of excavation
- Perform daily equipment inspections and light maintenance
- Work collaboratively with site supervisors, project managers, and subcontractors
- Assist with setting forms, prepping concrete areas, and general site tasks as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of excavation experience on commercial jobs
- Proven experience with fuel tank installs, UST/AST systems, or gas station work is a major plus
- Proficient in the safe operation of excavators, skid steers, loaders, and related machinery
- Ability to read construction drawings and perform to tight tolerances
- Strong understanding of soil conditions, shoring, and trench safety
- Equipment certifications are encouraged
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to regional job sites
