Responsibilities
- Regularly provide consultation to pro builders and retail distributors both on the phone and at customer location
- Serve as supervisor for drafters and/or EWP Customer Service Specialists, where appropriate
- Initiate sales for engineered wood products and accessories such as joist hangers
- Conduct technical training seminars for applicators and location personnel
- Organize and conduct dealer/contractor information meetings
- Manage and procure engineered wood inventory
- Create complex CAD and/or hand drawings to convert conventional framing and competitor materials to Boise materials
- Demonstrate a commitment to Total Quality and continuous improvement
- Respond actively and sensitively to the needs of all customers and be open to change
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: College, vocational, or specialized training/certification or equivalent experience
- Expert knowledge of CAD system, blueprint reading, and drafting
- Excellent math and communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of engineering terms and specifications
- Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the building materials industry preferred
