EWM Functional Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP S/4HANA EWM Functional Consultant to join a growing SAP support team within a manufacturing environment. This role will focus heavily on production support, troubleshooting, and ticket resolution across SAP S/4HANA EWM and related business processes.The ideal candidate has 5+ years of SAP experience, strong hands-on EWM expertise, and a proven track record supporting a live, post-go-live SAP environment. This is an opportunity for a senior resource to step into a hands-on role, help reduce an existing ticket backlog, and provide knowledge and guidance to a developing SAP support team.ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day functional production support for SAP S/4HANA EWMAnalyze, troubleshoot, prioritize, and resolve SAP support ticketsWork directly with warehouse, production, and business users to understand issues and determine appropriate solutionsTroubleshoot warehouse receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory processesInvestigate inventory discrepancies, stock movement issues, and material availability problemsTroubleshoot warehouse tasks, warehouse orders, deliveries, and RF/mobile transactionsResolve issues involving goods receipts, goods issues, stock transfers, and storage locationsTroubleshoot material staging and movement of materials between warehouse and productionInvestigate issues involving production orders and the movement of materials to and from manufacturingIdentify whether issues are related to EWM, configuration, master data, integration, or an underlying business processSupport integration points between EWM and other SAP modules, including MM, QM, and productionAssist with testing fixes, enhancements, and configuration changes prior to production deploymentDocument issues, root causes, resolutions, and recurring problemsIdentify trends in support tickets and recommend process or system improvementsPrioritize tickets based on business impact and production urgencyCollaborate with other SAP functional and technical teams to resolve cross-functional issuesEscalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining ownership through resolutionSupport post-go-live stabilization for new locations and SAP deploymentsHelp reduce the existing ticket backlog while continuing to support incoming production issuesServe as a senior subject matter expert and mentor to less-experienced SAP support team members Required Qualifications5+ years of SAP experience, with significant post-go-live production support experienceStrong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA EWMDemonstrated experience troubleshooting and resolving EWM production support issuesStrong understanding of warehouse and manufacturing business processesExperience working directly with business users and translating business problems into SAP solutionsAbility to independently research, troubleshoot, and resolve complex SAP issuesStrong understanding of integration between EWM and other SAP modulesExperience with SAP MM, QM, and/or PM is highly preferredStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a high-volume support environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting SAP within a manufacturing environmentExperience supporting EWM following a recent implementation or deploymentExperience with multiple SAP implementation waves or site rolloutsExperience supporting RF/mobile warehouse transactionsExperience troubleshooting EWM integration with production, MM, QM, or other SAP processesExperience mentoring junior SAP functional resourcesStrong understanding of S/4HANA warehouse and production processes Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
