EVS Worker Lead - BSWH Hillcrest
About the role
The Environmental Services Worker Lead provides work leadership to hourly employees in Aramark Facility Services areas of responsibility during events and performs hands-on work.
Responsibilities
- Assists management and supervisors at the beginning and end of shifts with sign-in, supplies, and equipment sign-out/sign-in.
- Assists shift operations in preparing and delivering supplies to meet employees' needs.
- Performs assessments of public restrooms and on-call rooms as needed.
- Adheres to all departmental sanitation procedures.
- Reports employee issues, including safety, injuries, and disciplinary matters.
- Supervises staff assignments to ensure efficient and high-quality cleaning services.
- Formulates action plans to correct inefficiencies and quality discrepancies.
- Assists in employee training, coaching, and motivation.
- Maintains accurate record-keeping for quality control systems.
- Adheres to established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment.
- Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state, and federal government regulations.
- Maintains compliance with Aramark's standards of operation and client contracts.
- Maintains records and reports required by Aramark, government, and accrediting agencies.
- Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet commitments.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in environmental services.
- Ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written).
- Ability to apply elementary math functions.
- Ability to work well under time constraints.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions.
- Basic knowledge of infection control procedures and universal precautions.
- Ability to work independently after appropriate training and instruction.
- Maintain a friendly and efficient service attitude toward customers, co-workers, and clients.
