Full-time position, 40 hours per week, with availability needed Sunday–Saturday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM. Regular days off are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
About the Role
Perform general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition, meeting hospital and Joint Commission standards. On weekends, maintain the Supervisor Phone to receive communications from House Supervisors and arrange Environmental Services assignments among the team.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures.
- Use cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
- Understand procedures and properly dispose of infectious waste and trash.
- Handle and clean up emergency spills per department guidelines, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards.
- Follow all infection prevention practices, including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, standard and isolation precautions, and proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain work and storage areas following established policy and procedures to ensure safety.
Requirements
- One or more years of experience in custodial, housekeeping, or janitorial work within a healthcare facility (preferred).
- Demonstrated communication skills, including differentiating color-coded labels and/or chemicals, as well as following written and/or verbal directions.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to meet department needs.
- Demonstrated professional housekeeping experience (preferred).

Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and assess customer needs.
- Frequent interactions with customers requiring clear communication and quick understanding of spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues.
- Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision, including frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment, including heavy items.
- Work on hands and knees and bend to set up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
Pay
Hourly pay range: $17.68 – $22.99, dependent on experience.
