About the role
The Environmental Services Technician at CHI St Alexius Health Williston is responsible for keeping all areas of the hospital clean and sanitized to protect individuals from potential infectious diseases or other hazards. Duties include routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting, as well as sanitizing patient rooms, emergency rooms, and operating rooms using approved tools and routines.Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and decluttering to appropriate areas of the hospital.
- Sanitize appropriate areas of the hospital using approved tools and routines.
- Restock supplies as needed in supply areas, common areas, and patient rooms.
- Learn and follow proper techniques for disposal of all medical waste.
- Remain patient, kind, and personable in all interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in commercial/healthcare cleaning preferred.
Qualifications
- Must be thorough and committed to safety.
- Must be able to learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials.
- Must be friendly and enthusiastic about helping others.
