Responsibilities

• Maintains friendly, efficient, and positive customer service toward customers, clients, and co-workers while adapting to customer needs.
• Cleans and maintains assigned areas, corridors, and ancillary spaces in a sanitary manner, ensuring compliance with preventative maintenance procedures and safety/health standards.
• Inspects and determines appropriate cleaning techniques based on orientation guidelines.
• Uses housekeeping equipment and solutions safely and efficiently, as observed by supervisors.
• May disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies using germicides and sterilizing equipment.
• Employs universal precautions when disposing of trash and bio-hazardous materials.
• Keeps cart stocked with properly labeled equipment, cleaning supplies, and chemicals; ensures all equipment is in good working condition.
• Promotes effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships while maintaining professional conduct.
• Assists in improving departmental productivity and operational efficiency.
• Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence through training and development.
• Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet commitments.

Requirements

• Past cleaning experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, senior management, and support staff.
• Ability to respond effectively to changing demands.

Physical Demands

• May require lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing.
• May require wearing uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
