About the role
The EVS Lead at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel ensures the highest level of guest satisfaction through the cleanliness of all guest areas and common public areas. This includes the 1st-floor hotel lobby, gaming floor, lounges, restrooms on the gaming floor, offices, restaurants, parking lots, and any other areas deemed necessary.
Responsibilities
- Directly supervise team members in the EVS Department
- Ensure EVS Attendants are performing duties as instructed
- Maintain a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention
- Supervise the development and implementation of the training program for all EVS employees
- Ensure the department’s day-to-day activities are running smoothly and according to standards
- Preparing ordering requisitions for EVS
- Vacuuming/cleaning carpet
- Cleaning spills and removing any biohazardous materials
- Keep storage areas clean and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy
- Keep utility carts stocked with cleaning supplies
- Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines
- Act as a department champion, promoting the department’s and company's services and functions to other employees, departments, vendors, applicants, and others who visit the department and property
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret common documentation
- Able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies or members of the staff
- Able to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner
- Able to quickly and accurately perform normal mathematical computations in regard to the implementation of duties
- Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Able to interpret a wide variety of instructions and deal with several variables
- Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license

- The employee is expected to circulate throughout all gaming areas, including the smoking area, actively observing players and the functioning of machines.
