EVS HEAVY DUTY CLEANER

About the role

Accountable for the overall cleanliness and presentation of the entire property. This position is responsible for providing a high level of guest service and promoting a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for our guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties to clean and sanitize various areas of the casino.
• Responsible for the cleaning of blood spills and bodily fluids.
• Maintains ongoing awareness of safety and responds to emergencies accordingly.
• Performs heavy duty cleaning and maintains all guest and employee areas.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and blinds.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Keeps storage rooms clean and organized.
• Answers guests' questions about the facility.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must have 1 year of previous Housekeeping experience.
• Must have knowledge of cleaning procedures, floor care, and problem areas.
• Must have the ability to use various floor care equipment.
• Must have knowledge of safe chemical usage.
• Must have carpet extracting knowledge.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and guest service skills.
• Must understand and speak the English language.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee requires manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
• Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally.
• Due to safety issues, at the discretion of management, may be required to wear protective equipment.
