EVS Heavy Duty Cleaner

About the role

The EVS Heavy Duty Cleaner fulfills all deep cleaning tasks including scrubbing heavily soiled floors, deep cleaning fixtures and appliances/equipment, stripping and waxing floors, and handling specialized cleaning projects that require more physical labor and specialized equipment, while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Monitors casino floor, stairs, mirrors, glass and assigned areas to ensure quality and cleanliness.
• Maintains appearance of gaming area including dusting and polishing/disinfecting slot machines and seats, cleaning trash from between, behind, and on the floor around slot machines.
• Completely cleans entire casino floor area, including vacuuming, cleaning carpets and carpeted areas, ledges, edges, and glass.
• Cleans gaming tables as/when requested.
• Dusts and cleans all casino signage.
• Services assigned areas daily, including vacuuming, mopping, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, ash/trash receptacles, elevators, dusting, polishing, and sweeping.
• Mops, sweeps, and cleans restrooms to include sink and mirrors, walls, toilets, vents, dispensers, etc.
• Cleans, sweeps, mops, and empties trash in offices, lobbies, bar areas, corridors, elevators, locker rooms and other work areas as directed by the supervisor or manager.
• Monitors bathrooms to ensure they are always clean and orderly.
• Maintains all equipment, supplies and supply rooms in an orderly manner, as instructed by supervisor.
• Removes all trash and recycling from all receptacles and disposes at their designated locations.
• Operates trash and cardboard compactor following the Standard Operations Guidelines (SOG).
• Reports maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Reports emergency repairs to supervisor immediately.
• Completes special assignments assigned by supervisor – Public Areas and above as requested.
• Maintains break room and executive office facilities.
• Participates in departmental safety and technical training programs.
• Scrubs, strips, waxes, and polishes hard floors in high-traffic areas.
• Collects and disposes of large amounts of trash.
• Utilizes specialized cleaning machines like floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, high-pressure cleaners, and industrial vacuums.
• Washes and scrubs walls, ceilings, and high-reach surfaces.
• Deep cleans heavily soiled surfaces, such as grease.
• Thoroughly cleans and disinfects restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, and stalls.
• Depending on job requirements, receives additional training on specific cleaning equipment.
• Performs exterior cleaning such as around compactors and loading docks.
• Properly manages and disposes of hazardous cleaning chemicals according to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Effective communication in English, both verbal and written, in a professional manner.

• Engages with internal and external customers with exceptional customer service (answering questions, providing information, greeting and assisting guests whenever possible).
• Displays a positive and professional demeanor during interactions with fellow team members and guests.
• Handles lost and found following Caesars Virginia policies and procedures.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods of time.
• Follows safety protocols and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Must present a neat and professional appearance; uniform is provided and required.
• Ability to work various shifts with flexibility.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds.
• Visual abilities needed to safely operate motorized equipment.
• Attention to detail with visual capabilities needed to inspect work upon completion to avoid leaving deficient work.
• Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
• Must be able to obtain a required Virginia Lottery Gaming License.

Pay

$18.25 per hour
