About the role
The Director of Environment Services (EVS) oversees all Servicon EVS systems/processes/programs at healthcare client sites. Key responsibilities include leading the EVS department, ensuring operational programs are maintained, and delivering best-in-class outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Plans, directs, and coordinates organizational, technical, and administrative functions in all EVS areas at healthcare client sites
- Leads the EVS department, overseeing all Servicon EVS systems/processes/programs
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of latest environmental trends, products, and regulatory requirements
- Ensures EVS is delivered to healthcare client and completed to contractual specifications
- Recruits for site managers/asst dirs., including requisition, interviewing, and selection
- Models and ensures safety standards and behaviors
- Builds interdepartmental leader relationships centered on executing agreed upon strategy within the hospital
- Identifies and implements best practices: innovative ideas to improve service and efficiency
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of four (4) years’ relevant managerial experience in Facility Services or a related field
- Strong commitment to high-level service and quality standards
- Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, develop and lead a team
- Willingness to work a variable work schedule—to include, day shifts, evening, and night shifts
- Efficient computer knowledge, proficiency in utilizing all Microsoft Office programs
- Experience working with union contracts is preferred
- Must be Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Ability to obtain security clearance
- Must possess AND maintain a valid driver's license, and a driving record that aligns with company standards
Qualifications
- Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in healthcare EVS; minimum five (5) years at a senior leadership level
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent years of experience
Skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and grow a team
- Demonstrated analytical skills, ability to run relevant data reports and derive conclusions
- Exceptional written and oral communication and active listening skills
- Demonstrated capabilities to operate with empathy
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
- Experience working with unions and CBA’s is preferred
- Proficient with a variety of technology such timekeeping systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), and financial acumen
