Responsibilities

• Operate carpet shampooer and buffer
• Clean ceiling fixtures using a high lift
• Recognize and ensure appropriate chemicals are used when cleaning and mix chemicals correctly
• Move furniture and clean assigned areas
• Maintain and clean machines after use
• Report any problems to Supervisor
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Mop, scrub, rinse and polish hard floors
• Move, rearrange and clean furniture
• Operate and control all mechanical equipment including rotary machines, blowers and backpack vacuums
• Provide exceptional customer service to all guests
• Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must present a well-groomed appearance
• Must be comfortable working at high heights
• Must be able to use and control various mechanical equipment
• Operate shampooing and sweeping equipment
• Able to use ladders, as well as clean ground level areas
• Perform duties with a sense of urgency
• Work as a team with other employees
• Transport all supplies to and from work areas
• Operate the following equipment: vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mop and broom

Education and Experience

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

Language Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English
• Written communication skills in English may also be required

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to perform these operations using units of U.S. currency and weight measurement, volume and distance
• Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

• Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier

Physical Demands

• Stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
• Must be drug free

Work Environment

• May be exposed to toxic fumes and/or chemicals, odors, dusts, mechanical parts, electrical shock, and moving objects
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
• All Team Members at Hollywood are under surveillance and audio surveillance in limited areas
• Performance may be observed and recorded
• Employee could be exposed to an environment containing unrestricted second-hand tobacco smoke

Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
