Responsibilities

• Clean all slot machines, floors, windows, walls, stairs, and elevators.
• Perform spot vacuuming as required.
• Clean, disinfect, and restock all restrooms.
• Mop floors around bars, restrooms, and other areas as needed.
• Remove trash and debris from machines, empty and clean ashtrays, and deposit trash in the outside dumpster.
• Use chemicals for cleaning and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Read, follow instructions, and understand visual aids.
• Interact with guests and provide service according to company standards.
• Demonstrate ethical and cooperative behavior with guests, coworkers, and leadership.
• Follow all cleaning, sanitation, and PPE guidelines specific to the position.
• Perform other duties as assigned by department or company management.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Must qualify for licensing with the New Mexico Racing Commission.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Six months of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and promote cooperation between departments.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Physical Demands

• Frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, bending, stretching, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and standing for long periods.
• Working in small, confined areas with floors that may become slippery.
• Lifting from 50 to 75 pounds to stack, store, or move materials, supplies, and equipment.

Work Environment

• Primarily works inside the building.
• Regularly exposed to airborne particles.
• Noise level may be loud in guest areas.
• Exposure to unrestricted second-hand smoke.

Pay

$14.00 per hour. Initial placement within the salary range is based on relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
