EVS Aide
About the role
As our Environmental Services Technician (EVS) Tech, you will provide critical environmental services and meticulous attention to cleanliness, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a dependable, conscientious demeanor, contributing significantly to a healthy and comfortable facility environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess and interpret age-specific data
- Encourage involvement of patient, family, or significant other in decision-making related to plan of care
- Perform cleaning and/or isolation procedures of patient care areas; prepare rooms for new occupants following standards precautions
- Clean non-patient care areas, including dusting furniture, woodwork, and equipment
- Dust mop, wet mop, and vacuum floors
- Complete high dusting of all ceiling objects, wall objects, and horizontal surfaces following departmental procedures
- Collect and dispose of trash and linen; reline containers and ensure cleanliness of containers
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Previous healthcare experience preferred
