EVP Preconstruction
About the role
This is a C-suite seat with a builder's mandate. You'll own preconstruction end-to-end, from the first conceptual estimate through GMP, while actively expanding Sellen's market presence with developers, property owners, and commercial clients across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. You'll partner closely with our Chief Strategy Officer and CEO to shape how Sellen competes: sharpening our pricing philosophy, advancing alternative delivery (Design-Build, Progressive Design Build, GCCM), and positioning preconstruction as the competitive differentiator it should be.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction, with significant tenure in preconstruction and/or business development leadership.
- A Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of work experience and education.
- Experience in business ownership, business acquisition, market growth, and the development of new service offerings.
- Demonstrated track record of revenue growth and business development success in the PNW commercial construction market.
- Deep expertise in alterative project delivery: Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, and/or GCCM.
- Experience leading large, cross-functional preconstruction teams (estimating, BIM/VDC, scheduling, procurement).
- Preferred: DBIA professional designation.
- Established network among PNW commercial real estate developers, architects, and owners.
- Experience scaling a construction business unit through a high-growth phase.

Pay
The full annual salary range for this position is $206,000 to $325,000, depending on direct professional experience and qualifications. The bonus target for this role is 20% of annual base earnings with a $1,000 a month auto allowance.
