About the Role

This position requires fluency in all evisceration production work on a rotation basis.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all positions on the evisceration line.
  • Participates as a team member in ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies.
  • Coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members and attends team meetings.
  • Fosters team cohesiveness on major issues (e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes).
  • Identifies areas lacking cohesiveness and works with the team to resolve issues while reinforcing actions for synergy.
  • Understands and supports Simmons' operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN).
  • Maintains familiarity with the role’s impact on these systems and communicates concerns or improvement ideas.
  • Performs additional duties as necessary to support business objectives.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work efficiently in a plant environment.
  • Regularly required to stand, reach, and move about the facility.
  • Light to moderate physical effort required.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Uses waterproof footwear, gloves, apron, hearing protection, hair nets, and other protective equipment as required.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Technical Experience: Preferred experience working around machinery.
  • Industry Experience: Working knowledge of a processing facility.
  • Education: Basic math skills and English language proficiency (spelling, grammar, composition) may be required depending on the line position.
