Evisceration Technician-Nights

About the Role

To be fluent in all evisceration production work on a rotation basis.

Responsibilities

• Performs all positions on the line in evisceration.
• Participates as a member of the Team, including attending team meetings and fostering cohesiveness on major issues.
• Contributes to the ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies.
• Coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members.
• Identifies areas lacking cohesiveness and works with the team to resolve issues.
• Reinforces actions needed to achieve synergy within the larger organization.
• Understands and supports Simmons' established operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN).
• Maintains familiarity with the role’s impact on these systems and communicates concerns or improvement ideas.
• Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.

Requirements

• Able to efficiently work in a plant environment with regular standing, reaching, and moving about the facility.
• Light to moderate physical effort required.
• Must use waterproof footwear, gloves, apron, hearing protection, hair net(s), and other protective equipment as needed or required.
• Preferred experience working around machinery.
• Working knowledge of a processing facility.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of English language structure, including spelling, grammar, and composition (requirements vary by position on the line).
