Events Trainee-2

Responsibilities

• Aid the Event Director with daily preparations and execution of events
• Support Corporate and Community Partnerships department with partnership fulfillment
• Track, account for, and distribute tickets to Corporate and Community Partners
• Research market and target demographics to support overall marketing and sales plans
• Monitor and evaluate tournament marketing and communication activities
• Implement special projects and grassroots marketing initiatives
• Maximize the activation and engagement of the Tournament's admission and vendor expo area
• Engage with key local media personalities and assist with Media Day
• Assist with design and updates of the SAS Championship website
• Perform other related duties/projects as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or extensive study/experience in a related field
• Experience with content creation (video, graphic, written, etc.)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to think creatively and work collaboratively
• Active interest in social media platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Interest in marketing or communications as a career
• Knowledge of social media, WordPress, HTML, Photoshop, Adobe InDesign (optional but preferred)
• Valid US driver's license and clean driving record
• Flexibility to travel domestically and work weekends/holidays as needed

Benefits

Octagon offers a competitive salary range of $16.94 - $17.95 per hour.
