THE JOB

Account Trainee (Event Assistant)

Events / Responsible for planning and executing event and experiential marketing programs. Assist event director with day-to-day preparation and execution of the SAS Championship HBCU Invitational held October 16 – 18, 2026 at Prestonwood Country Club.

THE WORK YOU'LL DO

  • Create and distribute communication to athletes and coaches
  • Manage tournament merchandise and inventory
  • Aid in management of hotel and transportation needs for athletes and coaches
  • Cook up food and beverage needs with Prestonwood for athletes and coaches
  • Support marketing and communications coordinator to create and implement social posts, announcements, etc.
  • Assist with coordination of Career Day and Champions Cookout Q&A for athletes
  • Support the Operations Director for on-course operational needs
  • Compile HBCU Invitational overview report at close of the event
  • Other related duties/projects as reasonably assigned

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • A passion for and expertise in sports, entertainment, gaming, music and/or celebrity & lifestyle culture
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Poledished communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong desire to work in a team setting
  • Confident ability to solve problems, demonstrate initiative, and present a proactive work ethic
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Internet
  • Interest in sports and event management as a long-term career
  • Valid US driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed
  • Anticipated travel level: Low (0-15%)

PAY

$16.94 - $17.95
