Events Planning Franchise Specialist - Remote (Western U.S Preferred)
About the role
This is a remote position supporting the strategy, planning, and delivery of experiential events for Century 21, Coldwell Banker, Coldwell Banker Commercial, Coldwell Banker Realty, Compass, Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate, and ERA Real Estate. Preference will be given to candidates located in Denver, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, or Las Vegas, NV. Candidates in Arizona or California will also be considered. Note that if an office or hub opens within a reasonable commuting distance, full-time in-office work may be required.
Responsibilities
- Support the site search process and preparation of options for presentation to brand leadership.
- Support event activities for industry events including pre-planning and onsite delivery.
- Collaborate with event and brand leadership to drive event strategies through detailed project plans, program of events, and budget guidelines.
- Track and maintain detailed event budgets, including invoice management and budget reconciliation.
- Execute contracts for event vendors including payment submission.
- Manage logistics of external vendors ensuring quality, consistency, and execution of brand image.
- Create and manage venue and audio-visual specifications.
- Support and assist registration processes before and during all events.
- Work closely with the Communications team to drive event attendance and provide communications details.
- Support creation and updates to event websites and apps to drive network attendance and engagement.
- Manage the housing process and room blocks in conjunction with registration.
- Work on food and beverage selection while adhering to negotiated budget allotment.
- Collaborate with the Client Success team on logistics for learning breakout sessions.
- Drive the signage plan for events, working with the marketing team on design and managing order and on-site installation details.
- Support the development of reception themes, coordinating specialty décor, entertainment, and creating wow moments for attendees.
- Coordinate ordering and shipments of assets, promotional items, and collateral needed for events.
- Assist with developing event overviews and debriefs, including detailed financial recaps and follow-up learnings.
- Manage virtual events through Teams application, on occasion.
- Support the full Anywhere Franchise Brands Events Team on events and projects as needed.
- Create and maintain an enthusiastic, cooperative, professional, and teamwork-structured environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of industry experience with demonstrated end-to-end event planning lifecycle expertise, from concept development through execution and post-event evaluation.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Project management experience with effective time management and multitasking abilities.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and C-suite leadership.
- Collaborative vendor management experience.
- High energy level and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite or Google Suite; knowledge of Monday.com is a plus.
- Experience using Cvent is strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel approximately 10–20% annually, including overnight and multi-day trips.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
