About the role

We are seeking an ambitious, highly autonomous Events Manager to serve as a key operational and strategic support partner to the Director of Events. In this mid-level role, you will collaborate across the event lifecycle for our flagship annual conference, SpiceWorld, alongside regional activations. The ideal candidate brings 3 to 5 years of experience, thrives on execution, and is ready to support both high-level strategy and tactical execution.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic & Attendee Experience Support: Support the Director in aligning event initiatives with business goals and brand strategy. Help manage attendee touchpoints across pre-event communications, on-site experiences, and post-event analysis.
  • Sponsorship & Sales Alignment: Collaborate with sales teams, join sponsor calls, assist in executing custom activation packages, and work with CS to ensure all sponsor contractual deliverables are fulfilled.
  • Vendor & Venue Coordination: Serve as the primary operational contact for external vendors, agencies, and venue management (AT&T Conference Center). Source competitive bids, evaluate proposals, assist with contract reviews, and oversee room sets and catering flow.
  • Event Technology & Data Administration: Lead the setup and maintenance of event platforms (Cvent/Bizzabo) to manage attendee registration, data integrity, the mobile app, and the exhibitor portal.
  • Onsite Execution & Production: Lead onsite load-in, setup, and strike, coordinating power, Wi-Fi, AV, decor, security, temporary labor, and real-time logistical troubleshooting.
  • Content & Speaker Logistics: Support program curation efforts and manage speaker requirements, including AV setup, green room logistics, and tech run-throughs.
  • Budget Tracking & Fulfillment: Track baseline budgets, audit vendor invoices, manage room blocks, and oversee creative assets, swag fulfillment, and shipping logistics.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of corporate event management experience, preferably in B2B or tech.
  • Experience with flagship, owned user conferences and direct management of hotels and conference centers is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on expertise in event tech platforms (Cvent, Bizzabo, or equivalent) for registration and sponsor management.
  • Strong contract literacy with experience reviewing vendor proposals and tracking event budgets.
  • Practical knowledge across the full event lifecycle, including strategy support and content coordination.
  • Texas location preferred, with availability to travel to SpiceWorld (Nov 12–13 in Austin, TX) and attend site visits as needed.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Life and disability benefits
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
  • 401(k) with company match and Employee Stock Purchase Plan
  • Flexible Time Off, Volunteer Time Off, and paid holidays
  • Family building and caregiving support and generous Family Care and Parental leave
  • Fitness Reimbursement and access to wellness programs
  • Employee Resource Groups, company-sponsored events, and professional development resources
  • Employee engagement programs and recognition awards

Pay

The salary compensation for this role is $70,000 to $80,000. Individual pay within the compensation range is determined based on experience, scope of the role, capabilities, education and training, and business and company performance.
