About the role

As a Liberty Military Housing Events Coordinator, you will plan, create, coordinate, and host events and programs for residents that build connections within their community, create family memories, and provide rewarding experiences. This role requires strong organizational skills, high energy, and the ability to travel to various locations within the region to deliver exemplary service in accordance with Liberty Military Housing’s customer satisfaction standards.

Responsibilities

  • Event Planning – develop and coordinate all phases of the event planning process (research, design, planning, coordination, and evaluation) to deliver quality and creative events.
  • Event Management – manage and execute multiple events simultaneously, including timelines, production schedules, risk assessment, creative design, vendor/venue management, event team coordination, and logistics management.
  • Event Production Coordination – execute on- and off-site events, including event team coordination, setup, day-of hosting, risk briefings, logistics management, and teardown.
  • Budgets and Contracts – oversee, review, and process assigned accounting and financial matters based on event budgets (e.g., processing invoices, MECs/IECs, PAFs, POs, requesting vendor quotes).
  • District Support – assist District Teams in the event planning process to ensure successful event experiences.
  • Marketing Coordination – develop, design, and create marketing plans and materials (e.g., flyers, website content, social media, newsletters, banners, posters, email, event photography, registration management).
  • Partnership Coordination – collaborate with military organizations, agencies, and businesses on partnership or sponsorship opportunities to meet resident needs through programming and events.
  • Record Keeping – maintain accurate event folders and records (online and paper) and submit required items by deadlines (e.g., event recaps, attendance stats, evaluations, event photos).
  • Department Support – assist with special projects, team tasks, and collateral duties as assigned.
  • Compliance – adhere to OSHA safety regulations, local health/safety/environmental laws, Fair Housing guidelines, and Liberty Military Housing Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.

Requirements

  • Event planning experience; experience in recreation, hospitality, marketing, communication, or related fields (1–2 years preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, website Content Management Systems (preferred), Google applications (Gmail), social media platforms, and graphic software (Adobe, Publisher, Photoshop, InDesign preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal/external customers.
  • Excellent project planning, organization, and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage time effectively, balance multiple tasks, and prioritize duties to meet operational and event goals.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Availability for a varied and flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel to other regional locations for work, training, meetings, and related activities.

Pay

$19.00 – $21.00 per hour.
