ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in tracking Events revenue.
  • Finalize and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for all events within the 10-day forecast to internal departments.
  • Distribute Daily Events reports to ensure effective communication across departments.
  • Answer phones and route Events sales inquiries to the appropriate Sales Manager.
  • Create and communicate event resumes for small group bookings.
  • Ensure that reader boards are updated daily with current event space information.
  • Maintain the Group Transportation Log and communicate with carrier.
  • Processing Marriott Bonvoy Points and eBonus Points.
  • Producing breakfast and dinner vouchers as well as menu cards.
  • Aid the Events team with promotional mailings, file maintenance, and organizing sales materials.
  • Follow up on special banquet event arrangements from Director, to ensure compliance.
  • Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time and observes prescribed work, break and meal periods in compliance with standards.
  • Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with the dress code.
  • Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.

DESIRED COMPETENCIES, WORK SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Experience with Marriott FSPMS is required.
  • Additional experience with CI/TY is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred.
  • Must be detail oriented with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and thoroughness.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • College course work in a related field helpful.
