About the role

HERO NYC is seeking a Partnerships & Events Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of partnerships, programming, and events while serving as HERO's primary liaison to Rockefeller Center. This role is ideal for a highly organized relationship builder who thrives at the intersection of project management, experiential events, and community engagement. This is an immediate contract position from now until the end of January 2027.

Partnerships & Event Project Management

  • Serve as the primary project manager for partnership activations, private events, and community programming from kickoff through execution and post-event wrap-up.
  • Manage project timelines, workbacks, budgets, deliverables, and stakeholder communications across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Cook up logistics with internal operations, production, marketing, and creative teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Lead regular project status meetings, maintain event trackers, and proactively identify risks or timeline adjustments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for partners and event stakeholders throughout the planning process, ensuring a best-in-class experience.
  • Support inquiries for private events by coordinating venue tours, gathering client requirements, developing timelines, and facilitating internal planning through execution.
  • Aid in contracts, event documentation, invoicing coordination, and post-event reporting as needed.

Community & Partnerships

  • Serve as HERO's primary liaison to Rockefeller Center, building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and tenants.
  • Develop and manage partnerships with brands, cultural institutions, nonprofits, and community organizations that support HERO's programming and mission.
  • Cook up seasonal activations, public programming, co-marketing initiatives, and collaborative events with Rockefeller Center and external partners.
  • Partner closely with HERO's marketing and creative teams to ensure partnership activations are effectively promoted and executed.
  • Represent HERO at Rockefeller Center meetings, community events, and networking opportunities, strengthening HERO's presence within the local cultural community.

Programming & Operations

  • Help identify opportunities for new programming, partnerships, and experiences that enhance HERO's event calendar and community engagement.
  • Track project budgets, timelines, and key performance metrics, providing regular status updates and post-event recaps.
  • Maintain organized documentation, project plans, and operational processes to support efficient execution across all initiatives.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve project workflows, partnership management, and event operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in event management, experiential production, partnerships, project management, or community engagement.
  • Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders from concept through execution.
  • Strong knowledge of New York City's cultural, hospitality, experiential, or events landscape.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Passion for creating memorable experiences and building meaningful partnerships.

Compensation

Compensation Range: $8,000-$9,000/month. Compensation offered will be based on experiences
