Support the client event team with the set-up and break-down of event spaces. When not performing event tasks, assist with special projects such as cleaning pop-up desks, high dusting, deep cleaning floors, and organizing closets. May also help with additional janitorial duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Transport small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables.
- Straighten areas such as lobbies and conference rooms.
- Pick up trash, recycling, and compost bins and transport to proper disposal areas.
- Perform light vacuuming, dusting, and restocking supplies.
- Clean drop-in desktops, assist janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms, damp mop floors, clean restrooms, clean glass, restock and organize supplies in janitorial closets and storage areas.
- Clean elevators, spot clean upholstered furniture and carpets, and dust open common spaces.
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures; stop at-risk behavior of others and self.
- Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
- Take direction and respond to supervision.
- Use proper personal protective equipment.
- Present a professional appearance and conduct.
- Understand reporting systems and the environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to read 2-3 syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers.
- Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers.
- Basic math skills: add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
- Knowledge of American measures (money, weight, size, length, distance) and units such as cups, pints, quarts, gallons.
- Valid driver’s license if driving own vehicle or company vehicle on business time; proof of vehicle registration and insurance required.
- 1 year of custodial experience preferred.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Bilingual preferred, not required.
Qualifications
- Less than high school education or up to one month of related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pay
$21.30–$22.30 per hour
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
