Event Specialist - Dallas (Hybrid)
About the role
The Event Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end production and execution of a wide range of events, including in-person client-facing programs, conferences, and market-specific initiatives. This role oversees all aspects of event delivery, including concept development, scheduling, planning, project management, marketing, logistics, and communications.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary point of contact for assigned events within the U.S., partnering with local attorneys and staff to coordinate a variety of internal and external events.
- Supports sponsorship-related tradeshows and conferences on an as-needed basis.
- Manages all phases of event execution – from pre-event planning through onsite delivery and post-event follow-up – while delivering a high-quality experience that reflects Littler’s standards across venue selection, service, and food and beverage.
- Responsible for maintaining and adhering to the budget allotted for each event.
- Collaborates with the business development teams to track and analyze events and business development activities to capture ROI and report to key stakeholders, along with marketing and business development (MBD) leadership, as needed.
- Responsible for compliance, reporting, tracking and data updates in firm-wide tools (e.g., Interaction, NetDocs, SharePoint, etc.).
- Frequent travel (approximately three times per month) to provide onsite event support, ensuring smooth execution and delivering an exceptional attendee experience.
- Collaborates with internal teams – Graphics, Web, CRM, IT and Knowledge Management (KM) – to successfully brand, promote and execute events.
- Affords assistance with interdepartmental project requests, event communications and pre- and post-event follow-up responsibilities.
- Responsible for submitting events for CLE hours and HR certification, including eligible courses for HRCI, SPHR and SHRM credits.
Qualifications
- The ability to manage multiple events with a strong emphasis on project management.
- High-level attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to use Excel and PPT and have a strong grasp of MS Office functions.
- Ability to proficiently create, edit and proofread communications and event deliverables.
- Strong professional presence; capable of engaging credibly and effectively with attorneys.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of staff in a clear, professional and articulate manner in written, in-person and virtual interactions.
- Successful track record of working independently and collaboratively in remote and in-person work settings.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
