About the role
Tokyo Electron U.S. Holdings is searching for an event specialist to assist our Marketing and Communications Department’s Events Team and also assist with other MarCom projects. The position will report into the Manager of Events.
Responsibilities
- Plan and organize internal and external events assigned, both locally and around the U.S., including:
- Creating, implementing and controlling event budgets.
- Establishing relationships with vendors and suppliers for events (e.g., caterers and venue owners such as hotels and restaurants).
- Establishing detailed timelines and deadlines for items such as marketing material preparation, catering arrangements, procurement of needed supplies, and other event-specific needs.
- Executing the plan and providing event data and reports as required.
- Effective communication with all parties including clients, vendors, team members, manager, etc. on details and progress of events.
- Ensure customer (event owner/sponsor) satisfaction by offering needed service and assistance to event participants.
- Maintain an inventory and directory of marketing giveaways and supplies for the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Project Management, or other related fields.
- 2+ years of experience in marketing coordination, event planning, or a similar role.
- Proven experience in conference and event marketing.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong collaboration and relationship building skills.
- Ability to multitask is critical to success.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and marketing software/tools.
- Familiarity with Monday.com or other program management tools.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and online marketing strategies.
- Experience with budget management and vendor negotiations.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Schedule
TEL operates on a hybrid work model which requires at least 3 days a week in our downtown Austin office.
Some domestic (US) travel required (10-15%).
