About the role
Join the Events Team at Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center, which serves the hotel and MSU Athletic Venues, including Breslin Center and Munn Ice Arena, for all types of events. This position does not have a set schedule, and times vary depending on the needs of the company.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering an outstanding Spartan experience (DOSE).
- Prepare rooms for events: set tablecloths, dishes, glassware, and silverware as directed.
- Assist in clearing, cleaning, and breaking down rooms at the completion of an event.
- Serve guests food and drinks, including plated and buffet service, during events as required.
- Accommodate reasonable special requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Follow directions from the Event Lead, Event Captain, or Event Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to work 15–20 hours per week.
- Availability for morning, lunch, and evening shifts.
- Ability to work weekends.
- Punctuality, positive attitude, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to provide great customer service in a fast-paced team environment.
- Must be able to move up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Able to work flexible hours and shifts.
Schedule
Variable hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and university breaks.
Pay
$16.00 per hour.
