About the Venue

The Crown Complex is a state-of-the-art, five-venue complex located in the heart of Cumberland County. It comprises a 4,500-seat arena, a 9,200-square-foot ballroom, a 10,880-seat coliseum, an exposition center with 60,000 square feet of unobstructed space, and a 2,440-seat theatre. The Crown Complex is home to the Fayetteville Marksmen hockey team (SPHL) and Fayetteville Fury indoor soccer team (NISL), hosting a variety of sporting events, family shows, concerts, and special productions year-round.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for assistance from staff and visitors for a variety of security issues (fire, medical emergencies, etc.)
• Performs all event and non-event security duties as assigned
• Conducts building safety inspections (normally pre-event and post-event safety checks)
• Follows all established security procedures
• Answers information requests from staff and guests during events or as needed
• Protects equipment, materials, and structures throughout the work schedule
• Provides regular security functions within the Complex and related areas prior to, during, and after all events
• Responsible for a clean, neat appearance with a complete CC deputy uniform
• Turn in all lost and found items to the Event Manager on duty, when applicable
• When requested, provides escorts of persons to and from locations within the complex

Qualifications

• Must be an active-duty Cumberland County Deputy
• Able to work events as assigned
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong oral and written communication skills required
• Ability to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends, and select holidays, is required
• Must demonstrate strong attention to detail
• Must demonstrate a positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude
