Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is expanding its event staffing team and is seeking professional, dependable Event Security Officers to assist with a variety of assignments throughout the Denver area. Officers may work concerts, sporting events, festivals, private functions, corporate gatherings, and community events. This role is well-suited for individuals who enjoy working in public-facing environments, maintaining awareness in active settings, and providing exceptional service while supporting venue safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible security presence throughout assigned event locations
- Monitor crowd activity and help promote a safe, orderly environment
- Observe for unsafe conditions, disturbances, or suspicious behavior
- Absorb and support event staff with maintaining organized guest flow
- Verify tickets, credentials, badges, wristbands, or authorized access permissions
- Conduct bag inspections or screening procedures when required by venue policies
- Help secure restricted or staff-only areas
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, or medical situations
- Use de-escalation techniques when addressing conflicts or disruptive behavior
- Communicate security concerns promptly to supervisors and event management
- Absorb and assist with emergency response procedures and venue evacuations
- Complete accurate incident reports, activity logs, and required documentation
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Reliable transportation to event locations throughout the Denver metropolitan area
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow site instructions, event procedures, and safety protocols
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in event security, guest services, hospitality, or crowd management
- Experience working concerts, festivals, sporting events, conventions, or public gatherings
- Familiarity with access control procedures and incident reporting
- Colorado Guard Card or ability to obtain one
- Customer service experience in public-facing roles
