Event Sales Marketing Manager

About the role

Edgewater Golf Club, located in Lancaster, SC, is seeking a driven Full-Time Event Sales Marketing Manager to develop and implement an annual sales plan that maximizes profitability for the facility while delivering outstanding quality service for customers.

Responsibilities

• Creates and designs flyers, posters, website emails, newsletters, menus, brochures, creative copy, presentations, data entry, digital signage, and learns new applications as they may arise.
• Manages social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, YouTube, etc.) working independently and alongside outside marketing vendors.
• Maintains the property's brand standards and executes strategies to improve awareness of the Club, its real estate offerings, and communications.
• Works with the Director of Marketing & Communications to achieve approved business/marketing plans and adjusts plans as necessary to optimize goals and objectives.
• Assists in the development of member campaigns and communications to drive awareness of events and social opportunities internally at the Club.
• Participates in creating highly polished, inspiring presentations for Club and Committee use.
• Prepares marketing ROI analysis and key performance metric reporting.
• Prepares marketing analytics to measure performance, prioritize, and optimize all marketing campaigns, focusing on spend efficiency.
• Maintains relationships with key Club staff, Community Association staff, and vendors to coordinate and manage marketing partnerships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BA) and one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-4 years of marketing and/or communications experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Full-time work schedule predominantly Monday through Friday, with occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work required.
• Flexible schedule and availability.

• Excellent writing, grammar, and communication skills to maintain high service standards and interact with members daily.
• Proficient time-management skills, detail-orientation, and strong follow-through with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong track record of working independently and proactively identifying bold and creative new initiatives.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with multiple ongoing projects, different timelines, and stakeholders (internal and external).
• Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
• Familiarity with best practices and effective marketing and communications techniques in the club or hospitality industry.
• Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn computer applications and internet modules including Microsoft products, specialized club-specific apps, Adobe InDesign, internet sites, websites, and club specialized software such as Jonas.
