Responsibilities

• Completion/Submission of Electronic Patient Care Records
• Daily Base Checks and Narcotics Inventory Control
• Pre-Hospital and Intra-Hospital Advanced Life Support Care
• Maintain Competency, Knowledge, and Psychomotor Skills
• Documentation of Required Licensure, Certifications, Continuing Education, Safety, and Advanced Procedures
• Use and Routine Maintenance of Emergency Program Equipment and Supplies
• Filling Open or Vacant Shifts Within Assigned Area
• Departmental Activities, Projects, and EMS Committees Participation
• Attending and Participating in Meetings
• Undertaking and Maintaining Projects
• Mentoring and Orientation of New Employees
• Participating in Continuing Education Programs
• Instructing Classes as Directed

Requirements

• Current RN licensure within California state
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required
• Required to obtain Trauma Certification within 6 months of hire
• Advanced Certification (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) preferred, required within 12 months from the date of hire
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
• ICS Courses (ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS-700) required
• Minimum of Two (2) Years Experience in Emergency or Critical Care Setting Preferred
• Ability to Read, Analyze, and Interpret Health and Flight-Related Journals, Hospital Reports, and Job-Specific Legal Documentation
• Ability to Respond to Inquiries or Complaints from Customers, Regulatory Agencies, or Members of the Business Community
• Ability to Compute Rates, Ratios, and Percentages and Apply Concepts of Basic Algebra and Geometry to Patient Care
