Event Planner
The Event Planner will be responsible for planning events for senior management, marketing, and sales. This role is ideal for an organized, proactive individual with strong communication, learning agility, and problem-solving skills who is interested in growing event planning, stakeholder management, and project coordination capabilities.
About the role
- Plans and executes events for senior management, marketing, and sales teams.
- Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary (25-30%).
- Identifies and recruits presenters, speakers, and event volunteers.
- Negotiates with vendors for event arrangements.
- Serves as the onsite host/hostess for clients.
- Communicates event status and conducts follow-up assessments.
- Develops and tracks meeting budgets.
- Seeks feedback after events and applies lessons learned.
- Buils effective working relationships with internal partners, vendors, presenters, volunteers, and attendees.
- Uses sound judgment to identify issues, escalate risks, and recommend practical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary (25-30%).
- Mets with customers to identify parameters of events.
- Recommends appropriate formats.
- Covers promotions of events to target audiences.
- Assists in the preparation of presentations (developing, writing, editing, and reviewing).
- Negotiates with vendors for event arrangements (hotels, travel agencies, special venues, restaurants, etc.).
- Serves as the onsite host/hostess for clients.
- Communicates event status.
- Conducts follow-up to assess effectiveness of events.
- Develops and tracks meeting budgets.
- Seeks feedback after events and applies lessons learned.
- Buils effective working relationships with internal partners, vendors, presenters, volunteers, and attendees.
- Uses sound judgment to identify issues, escalate risks, and recommend practical solutions.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree and minimum of 3 years of related experience.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated learning agility, curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn new event planning tools, processes, business areas, and stakeholder expectations.
- Professionalism, customer-service orientation, and ability to support senior leaders, clients, and business partners.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The Event Planner will be required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week.
