About the role

The Events Manager will develop and execute a portfolio of client-facing events and experiences that support the firm’s business development and relationship-management objectives. This individual will oversee events ranging from executive roundtables and industry conferences to client receptions, sponsorships, networking programs, and hospitality experiences. The Manager will work closely with senior leaders, client teams, Business Development, Marketing, and Communications to ensure each event is strategically aligned with the firm’s priorities and delivers a high-quality client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage strategic event plans in partnership with senior leaders, client teams, and Business Development professionals, aligning events with key client, industry, and business objectives
  • Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of client events, including venue sourcing, contracts, invitations, guest management, catering, vendors, logistics, staffing, and on-site coordination
  • Advise senior stakeholders on event strategy, audience development, format, location, sponsorship opportunities, and client engagement approaches
  • Manage event budgets and financial reporting, including forecasting, expense tracking, vendor negotiations, contract review, invoice management, and post-event ROI analysis
  • Partner with Marketing, Communications, Business Development, and other internal teams to coordinate branding, promotional campaigns, invitations, content, and client communications
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, venues, event partners, and sponsors while ensuring quality, service standards, and contractual requirements are met
  • Anticipate and resolve logistical or operational issues, develop contingency plans, and ensure successful execution of high-profile events in fast-paced environments
  • Track event outcomes, attendee engagement, and business development results while maintaining accurate records and using insights to improve future programs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in event management, preferably within a professional services, consulting, financial services, or corporate environment
  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing sophisticated client-facing events, conferences, executive programs, sponsorships, and hospitality experiences
  • Strong project management, budgeting, vendor management, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with executives, clients, colleagues, and external partners
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, service-oriented approach to client and stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
