Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of in-person and hybrid events from initial request through post-event reporting.
- Serve as a strategic partner to client teams by providing guidance on agendas, presentation development, speaker recommendations, and event strategy.
- Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and stakeholder needs.
- Drive innovation by developing new event concepts and exploring sponsorship and engagement opportunities.
- Develop and manage event budgets, negotiate vendor pricing, identify cost savings, reconcile expenses, and prepare post-event analysis.
- Partner with production and technology teams to deliver engaging in-person and hybrid experiences.
- Apply expertise in event production and audiovisual requirements to ensure seamless execution.
- Manage venue sourcing, RFPs, contract negotiations, and vendor performance.
- Oversee on-site event execution, staffing, logistics, and vendor management.
- Build trusted relationships across client business units by advising on event strategy, annual planning, and budget development.
Requirements for a Successful Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- CMP (Certified Meeting Professional), CMM (Certified Meeting Manager), or other event industry certifications are a plus.
- 7+ years of corporate event planning and management experience.
- Strong knowledge of venues and vendors throughout New York and across the U.S.
- Experience supporting executive-level stakeholders and managing high-profile events.
- Proven ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Hands-on experience with Cvent event management and registration platform.
- Strong budgeting, negotiation, project management, and organizational skills.
- Experience producing both in-person and hybrid events.
- Self-motivated with excellent judgment, initiative, and attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional quality.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support events.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during meetings and event execution.
- Ability to lift and carry materials and event supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Frequent use of a computer and standard office equipment.
- Ability to travel domestically as needed and work outside of normal business hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends, to support events.
- Ability to move throughout event venues, conference spaces, and production environments during setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment requiring sustained attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Engagement Details
- Engagement: Full-Time, Temporary Leave Coverage (September 2026 – June 2027)
- Classification: Exempt
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Location: Onsite – Midtown, New York, NY
- Compensation: $4,0000 –$4,300 per week, plus a comprehensive benefits package
