About the role
The Event Crew 2 will assist with the setup, strike, and support of special events, weddings, functions, and other activities. The team reports to Event Operations Supervisors/Managers and may drive company vehicles to complete deliveries, pickups, and installations with little to no supervision. Additional duties include providing general assistance and support to the department, leadership, and the company as needed.
Responsibilities
- Properly and safely operate a box truck.
- Provide friendly, professional service to internal customers and guests.
- Load and unload tables, chairs, and other event/party rental items.
- Set up rental equipment and test/ensure quality matches company expectations upon arrival.
- Understand and execute directions given via pull sheet, email, phone, etc.
- Rig items weighing 25 lbs and under, such as small chandeliers, bistro lighting, and other decor.
- Run and connect power requirements up to 20 amps.
- Complete the installation of express/high peak/pop-up style tents without supervision and support the team with larger installations.
- Safely operate a warehouse forklift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.
- At least one (1) year of prior experience working with event setup and logistics preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing world-class internal/external guest service.
- Solid interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; must convey information clearly and concisely.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality, service, and safety.
- Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and adapt as required.
- Ability to take direction and understand and execute instructions successfully.
- Proactive with good judgment; can troubleshoot as needed.
- Ability to operate effectively in an intense and dynamic guest service environment and interact with guests and vendors in a manner consistent with company standards.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds regularly with assistance.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and/or scaffolding.
- Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat, or kneel.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 19 years of age.
