Event Coordination

  • Coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
  • Create and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards.
  • Facilitate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects.
  • Perform face painting and other activities.
  • Communicate events with clients and store team members.
  • Adjust plans and events based on client’s feedback and needs.
  • Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.
  • Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.

Customer Experience

  • Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions.
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience.
  • Educate customers on Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
  • Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.
  • Support omnichannel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
  • Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance.
  • Support Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities including (but not limited to) sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining cleanliness of restrooms.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Lift heavy boxes and access high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.

  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality.
  • Handle job stress and interact effectively with others, including guests of all ages and co-workers.
  • Experience working with children and children’s events.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication as well as listening skills.
  • Organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Retail and/or customer service experience.
