Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming phone calls, texts, web requests, and emails promptly and professionally.
  • Make outbound calls to update and maintain business contact information.
  • Greet clients in our Showroom, providing guidance on rental products.
  • Consult with clients to understand their event needs, make tailored recommendations, and identify upselling opportunities.
  • Create event layouts and ensure all details are accurately recorded.
  • Follow up on quotes and leads in line with department goals.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with new and existing clients to drive retention and repeat business.
  • Proactively address and resolve client concerns.
  • Attend networking events, trade shows, and conferences to foster relationships with industry professionals.
  • Travel to offsite locations as needed for client consultations.
  • Engage with clients planning weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, and parties, ensuring all rental needs are met.
  • Accurately enter and manage order details in rental software.
  • Cookordination event logistics, including delivery, pickup, setup, and teardown, while occasionally assisting with these tasks as needed.
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Schedule

  • The typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Occasional after-hours and weekend shifts for client appointments, set-ups, or during high-demand seasons.
  • Potential for overtime during our peak season.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in client service, sales, or related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license (must meet company insurance requirements).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong typing skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Basic math skills, including fractions, percentages, and ratios.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. and assist with event setups and teardowns as needed.
  • Comfortable with upselling and closing sales.
  • Strong multitasking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Knowledge of the event or catering industry (preferred).
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
  • Completion of Behavioral and Cognitive Assessments through the Predictive Index.

Compensation

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
