Event & AV services technician

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and communications industry, is seeking a Geek Street Technical Support 2 to join their IT Support Department, specifically supporting the Video and Event Services team.

About the role

• Operate, maintain, and upgrade video conferencing equipment, ensuring optimal performance for internal and external events.
• Test environment and infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents related to video and audio conferencing tools.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute video conferencing events, including logistics and configuration.
• Utilize management tools like ServiceNow for incident tracking, service tickets, and change requests.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot hardware/software issues and perform root cause analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Typically 5 to 7 years of related work experience in video and AV services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications including Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Extensive knowledge of video infrastructure, endpoint equipment, and industry-standard platforms like Cisco CUCM, Cisco TMS, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Poly Endpoints, and Zoom Rooms.
• Basic understanding of networking, network protocols, and media encoders such as Wirecast and OBS.
