Event Associate

Overview

The Event Associate will provide thoughtful product recommendations and support the Field/Lead Coach for in-store sport events and DICK’S sponsored camps, clinics, and programs.

Responsibilities

• Drive the highest level of customer service
• Ensure teammates drive DICK’S common purpose and deliver hassle-free, engaging, athlete-first service
• Support field programming and guide athletes to have fun and participate safely
• Build relationships with local schools, community organizations, sports leagues, home school organizations for partnerships and field events
• Work with the Community Team to bring clinics, camps, afterschool programming to the Field
• Aid in providing outstanding teammate training and coaching
• Adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Adhere to all loss prevention standards
• Promote company programs including warranty sales, Scorecard (loyalty program), private-label credit cards, and other seasonal promotions
• Bring to life the power of opinion by providing consultative advice to athletes and demonstrating excellent product knowledge
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of customer service experience preferred
• Customer-service oriented
• Strong detail orientation

Targeted Pay Range

Pay range: $16.50 - $24.50 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
