Evening Ultrasound Instructor
Position Overview
The Ultrasound Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in both classroom and laboratory settings. This role includes teaching assigned courses, supporting student learning, and ensuring students develop the knowledge and skills required for entry-level employment in diagnostic medical sonography.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on lab instruction
- Teach Ultrasound Topics Including Ultrasound physics and instrumentation, Abdominal imaging, Obstetrics and gynecology, Vascular and small parts imaging
- Evaluate student performance through exams, assignments, and lab assessments
- Provide academic support and tutoring to students as needed
- Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records
- Ensure course objectives and learning outcomes are met
- Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices
- Foster a positive, professional, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in diagnostic medical sonography
- Relevant Ultrasound Credential(s) Preferred
- Prior teaching or training experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to relate clinical experience to real-world applications
Schedule
Part-time Evening hours (typical classes run Monday–Thursday evenings)
