Evening Support Specialist
About the role
The Evening Support Specialist plays a key role in ensuring a seamless, supportive experience for clients and staff during afternoon and evening hours. This position bridges operational coordination with compassionate care - maintaining a therapeutic, safe, and welcoming environment for every person on campus. You’ll work closely with the Programming and Clinical teams to support daily schedules, client supervision, group facilitation, and logistical operations. From leading evening activities and handling unexpected needs to ensuring that each client feels seen, supported, and secure - you’ll help carry the heart of the Onsite experience into the evening hours.
Shift and workplace details
The schedule for this position is 12:30pm – 9:30pm from Thursday through Monday, weekly. Given the nature of this position and the direct client care given, this person is required to work in-person in Cumberland Furnace, TN. This position will not accept candidates who desire hybrid or virtual opportunities.
About the day-to-day in this role
- Provide evening supervision of intensive programs - including problem-solving, crisis intervention, and ensuring emotional and physical safety.
- Lead and assist with evening group activities and psychoeducational sessions as needed.
- Cookordinate and execute nightly operations: registration support, room checks, facility organization, and documentation.
- Support clients and staff with transportation, check-ins, and emergency needs.
- Partner with Programming and Clinical teams to ensure smooth daily handoffs and continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to client support, safety checks, and shift responsibilities.
- Support the execution of Intensive program closings and assist with Group Room transitions.

Requirements
- Education: High school education with college level training preferred, 3 years experience in a residential treatment setting preferred, 12 Step/Counseling/Recovery knowledge is required in this role, Understanding of trauma specific issues and sensitivity in providing trauma informed care, Ability to maintain composure when managing crisis situations and implement de-escalation techniques is required in this role.
