About the role
Jersey College is seeking a Registered Nurse Instructor to teach evening classes focusing on Obstetrics and Pediatrics at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
- Create a clinical environment that fosters students' academic growth and guides their professional development.
- Prepare student progress reports and grade reports.
- Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
- Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
- Implement evaluation devices of student learning and clinical experience to measure progress and competency.
- Attend faculty meetings.
- Maintain professional qualifications as a Registered Nurse Instructor through participation in continuing education programs, in-service training, and academic courses.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Valid State RN License required.
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
- Knowledgeable and experienced in the area of nursing specialty.
- Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse that will contribute to student learning.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to create and maintain relationships with students and co-workers.
- Motivated, self-directed, team player.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workflow.
- Ability to supervise students in the clinical environment.
- Deliver an effective lesson on the level of an RN or PN student.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
This position is full-time, with a schedule from 5:30 PM to 10 PM, Monday through Friday.
