Employees at a franchised Nothing Bundt Cakes bakery location are employed by the franchise owner/operator and are not employees of Nothing Bundt Cakes Corporate (the franchisor).

About the role

At Nothing Bundt Cakes, the Joy Creators sweeten up the place, setting the mood and making a stop in the bakery an event worth posting about. You’ll get to play party planner by helping guests order the right cake for their celebrations and making sure their orders go off without a hitch. You’ll make everyone feel welcomed, and you’ll create an environment of generosity, happiness, and joy in your community.

This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule. We close earlier than most food service jobs, and we love to celebrate and bring joy to the community. T-shirts and sneakers are the dress code—keeping it casual!

Schedule

• Part-time hours: 15-30 hours per week, Monday-Sunday
• Must have flexibility to work two or more evening shifts per week
• Evening shift times may vary but typically run 2:30pm-7pm, 3:30pm-7pm, or 4pm-7pm
• Bakery hours: Monday-Saturday 9am-7pm, Sunday 10am-4pm

Responsibilities

• Promptly greet walk-in and phone guests with genuine warmth and helpful enthusiasm to determine interests and needs, following NbC Sweet Steps of Service to create a superior guest experience
• Maintain strong product knowledge to educate guests on NbC cake distinctions, size and flavor options, pricing, special promotions, and complementary retail merchandise
• Suggest additional merchandise, including balloons, candles, and cards, to complete unique celebrations
• Process guest orders efficiently and accurately using the point-of-sale system and invite guests to join the NbC Email Club for special promotions
• Uphold a clean and organized bakery presentation, including sweeping/mopping floors, dusting/cleaning countertops, windows, and other surfaces
• Restock retail merchandise and cake display cases to ensure a strong visual presentation
• Assist the Crafter in preparing cake decorations and packaging supplies as needed
• Comply with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene
• Maintain consistent work attendance and punctuality

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Previous customer service experience is a plus but not required
