Evening Housekeeper (EVS Tech)

Brief Description Department: Environmental Services (Housekeeping) Schedule: Full-Time Evenings Shift: 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. Location: Clarion with the ability to work at all Iowa Specialty Hospital locations as needed. Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Evening Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team. This position plays a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, patients, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, enjoys working independently, and is committed to providing exceptional service. This is a floor care position and falls under a custodial wage classification. Job Description Clean and sanitize resident rooms, patient care areas, offices, restrooms, and common areas. Dust, mop, vacuum, sweep, and disinfect assigned areas according to established procedures. Empty trash and replace liners. Replenish restroom and housekeeping supplies. Clean windows, mirrors, furniture, and high-touch surfaces. Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Follow infection prevention and safety guidelines, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain housekeeping equipment and ensure supplies are stocked. Provide friendly, courteous service to everyone within the Iowa Specialty community. Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent walking, bending, reaching, and standing throughout the shift. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Preferred Previous housekeeping, janitorial, hospitality, or healthcare environmental services experience. High school diploma or equivalent.
