Evening Babysitter for Two Children

About the role

We are seeking a responsible and caring babysitter for a short overnight shift in Memphis, TN. The position involves caring for a 10‑year‑old girl and a 5‑year‑old boy from 11:00 PM on Thursday, October 22, 2026, to 3:30 AM on Friday, October 23, 2026. The children are generally independent at bedtime. We have a sweet inside cat, so comfort around pets is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the children remain safe and comfortable throughout the night.
• Monitor the 5‑year‑old via the provided video monitor (he will already be in bed).
• Allow the 10‑year‑old to have a snack and drink, then settle upstairs with her phone until she falls asleep.
• No driving, feeding, bathing, or active bedtime routines are required.

Requirements

• Responsible, attentive, and comfortable supervising children overnight.
• Comfortable around pets (indoor cat).
• Reliable transportation to the family’s home in Memphis, TN.

Schedule

• Thursday, October 22, 2026 – 11:00 PM to Friday, October 23, 2026 – 3:30 AM (4.5 hours).
