About the Role

As an Evaluator, you will be responsible for the electrical testing and evaluation of transformers while ensuring compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards, and company policies. This role involves evaluating various types of units through internal and external visual inspections, electrical testing, and troubleshooting. You will collect dimensions, measurements, take photos, and complete drawings to document findings for fabrication options.

Responsibilities

  • Follow minimum and maximum guidelines on inventory threshold needs.
  • Operate a tablet to complete data collection for inventory equipment and evaluations.
  • Partner with other departments to communicate the results of unit evaluations.
  • Complete virtual warehouse transactions.
  • Maintain internal quality standards and compliance with all safety factors.
  • Provide reporting and data metrics to management.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization.
  • Notify management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries.
  • Read and interpret work orders.
  • Meet evaluation goals assigned by supervisor.
  • Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations.
  • Complete company compliance and safety training as required.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; technical or vocational school preferred.
  • Basic skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • 1-3 years of transformer experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years of mechanical and/or electrical field experience preferred.
  • Material handling equipment experience (forklift, crane, etc.) preferred.
  • OSHA10 certification preferred.
  • Proven track record in safety excellence is required.
  • Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn other department job functions and fill in as needed.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift 50 lbs from floor to waist and waist to shoulder multiple times.
  • Standing and walking for long durations.
  • Bending, squatting, and kneeling multiple times for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb up and down a ladder multiple times.
  • Balance and stand on a ladder with three points of contact for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in heat and cold due to non-climate-controlled manufacturing facilities.
