Work directly with EV battery modules and packs in a rapidly growing remanufacturing operation. Support both high-volume production lines and low-to-medium volume flexible manufacturing cells. Influence the development of manufacturing, testing, validation, and reporting systems that are still evolving. Play a key role in product launches, engineering changes, process development, and operational scaling.

Role Summary

This position is responsible for developing, validating, deploying, and continuously improving battery testing, manufacturing, repair, and reporting systems. The ideal candidate prioritizes effectively, thrives in a fast-paced environment, supports multiple customer programs simultaneously, and maintains a solution-focused mindset while helping move the business forward.

Technical Expertise

  • EV battery module and pack testing
  • Battery charging/discharging and recycling preparation
  • High-voltage battery and cable diagnostics, repair, and validation
  • Battery Management Systems (BMS), SOC/SOH analysis, and battery failure modes
  • DTC troubleshooting and root cause analysis

Vehicle Communication & Diagnostics

  • CAN, CAN FD, and UDS communications
  • Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, and Vehicle Spy
  • CAN log analysis, network diagnostics, and communication validation
  • Understanding of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) troubleshooting, fault isolation, and corrective action development
  • Experience developing CAN-based test sequences and diagnostic routines

Test & Validation Systems

  • Develop and optimize automated test sequences for battery modules and packs
  • PLCs (Ignition), LabVIEW, battery cyclers, and data acquisition systems
  • Validation testing, test method development, and tester integration
  • Battery repair, validation, quality, and customer reporting systems

Manufacturing & Quality Systems

  • Lean Manufacturing, JIT, Kanban, and continuous improvement
  • PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and standardized work
  • MSA, Gauge R&R, SPC, Control Charts, and Cp/Cpk studies
  • Production readiness, traceability, and quality system deployment

Leadership & Business Impact

  • Prioritize multiple customer requests, engineering changes, and production needs
  • Support multiple customer programs simultaneously
  • Strong team player with cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Customer-facing communication and technical issue resolution
  • Drive problems to closure with a solution-focused mindset

Standout Qualifications

  • Experience developing manufacturing, validation, testing, quality, and reporting systems from concept through production
  • Experience supporting rapid program launches and frequent engineering changes
  • Lean Six Sigma (LSS) experience preferred
  • Experience building scalable systems in a rapidly growing operation
  • Experience using SQL, Python, Minitab, MATLAB, or Power BI to convert data into actionable improvements
