About the role
The Waldorf School of Baltimore is seeking a full-time eurythmy teacher for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond. The school offers a beautiful campus with a custom-designed eurythmy room and provides a rich Waldorf education to all children.
Responsibilities
- Guide, engage, and bring a rich, age-appropriate eurythmy program to children from early childhood to eighth grade.
- Teach three or four 20-minute lessons per week in the Children’s Garden (early childhood).
- Teach one 40-minute lesson per week in Lower School Grades 1, 2, 3.
- Teach three 40-minute lessons per week in Lower School Grades 4 and 5.
- Teach two 40-minute lessons per week in Middle School Grades 6, 7, 8.
- Cover twenty-four periods per week, including time for other duties, planning periods, and mentoring.
- Inform the Academic Director of any problems or issues that may interfere with fulfilling responsibilities.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree and eurythmy diploma.
- Ability to work from an understanding of anthroposophy and knowledge of Waldorf education.
- Commitment to equitable practices and willingness to engage in faculty studies.
- Willingness and ability to develop a range of artistic skills and establish professional relationships.
- Engagement in ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with parents, students, and school visitors.
- Willingness and ability to establish and maintain professional collegial relationships.
- Deepening an understanding of Waldorf pedagogy and anthroposophy.
Employment Details
The eurythmy teacher position is a full-time role with benefits. The salary range is $42,000-$62,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
