About the role
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will work closely with members of Fidelity’s Technology Risk functions to use data to provide insight into risk. You will participate in all phases of a data analytics project lifecycle—from framing the business question or hypothesis, identifying appropriate data sources, sourcing relevant data, performing sophisticated analytics, and reporting on the results. You will answer ad-hoc questions and develop data-centric solutions utilized across the Risk organization.
Responsibilities
- Frame business questions and hypotheses for data analytics projects.
- Identify, source, and analyze relevant data from relational database environments (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, DB2).
- Develop and present data-driven insights and visualizations using tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and Excel.
- Design, develop, and optimize workflows and applications using Microsoft PowerApps and Power Automate to enhance process efficiency.
- Apply AI and Machine Learning techniques to solve business problems (preferred).
- Automate manual processes and maintain dashboards and tools for Technology Risk teams.
- Communicate findings clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in data analytics or a similarly technical field.
- Strong proficiency in querying, analyzing, and managing data within relational database environments.
- Advanced proficiency with business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Excel).
- Exceptional attention to detail, collaboration skills, and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to address complex business challenges.
- Deep understanding of data visualization techniques and their application to business problems.
About the team
You will join the Data Analytics team within ETRA, which plays a critical support role for the business unit’s technology risk teams. The team helps answer complex business questions and tells stories through creative data analytics and visualization. Technology Risk teams rely on these insights for daily operations, process automation, and maintaining up-to-date dashboards and tools.
Schedule
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations may evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
